Fat's Affected Function
Morbid obesity disturbs the normal function of body fat (adipose tissue). This study reveals how in obesity, immune cells called macrophages lacking in the regulating protein TIPE 2 promote iron-dependent cell death in adipose stem cells. Restoring TIPE2 could be a therapeutic approach for obesity-related disorders
