Success of parasites like Toxoplasma gondii depends on their ability to rapidly proliferate sufficiently to be transmitted. This study reveals how an enzyme PP1 controls the cell cycle of the Toxoplasmosis-causing organism, thereby suggesting strategies to thwart it
