Laminin Makes Sensory
Laminin proteins are major members of the network of molecules and minerals that surround and support cells (the extracellular matrix). This study using human pluripotent stem cells finds that one form of laminin LAMB4, whose function was previously unclear, is vital for sensory neuron development and survival – knowledge that will aid the understanding and treatment of peripheral neuropathies
