Effect of Taxanes
First identified in yew trees, the taxane group of chemicals are widely used in chemotherapies. This study shows their cancer cell-inhibiting activity and possibly their side-effects result from them altering the conformation of microtubule lattices of the cell's inner scaffolding or cytoskeleton of interlinking proteins which activates cell signalling pathways
