Details of the molecular mechanisms and lineage-defining markers involved as stem cells in the embryo commit to mammary gland development – revealed in mice using a combination of single cell RNA-sequencing with spatial transcriptomics [assigning cells in tissue locations according to their gene activity signatures] and live imaging of embryonic tissue in culture
